Even on NCSU’s campus, there can be distances that are very appropriate for a bike. (For example if a student lived at E.S. King Village and had courses in Brooks Hall, they would have to walk almost two miles.). What roles does biking play as a means of transportation on NCSU’s campus? Could it play a bigger role? Are there obstacles in the way of people who would like to bike more on campus? Are there ways that NCSU practices motornormativity, giving priority to motorized transport at the expense of bikes. Does NCSU provide adequate bike parking?
–Pick a route on campus (perhaps the longest one you can find or that you think would be attractive to students). Perform an audit on it.
How does biking on the NCSU campus compare to other schools? (Let’s take Duke or NCSU for example.)
